Bjc Iris Waterproof switches offer IP-44 protection based on the frame: this is fitted with an EDPM membrane that protects its entire perimeter. The rocker key is also protected by means of a second membrane in the middle piece. This structure provides the assembly with IP-44 protection, enabling it to comply with the Spanish low tension electrotechnical safety regulations for humid premises.

Bjc Iris Waterproof sockets are fitted with the EPDM membrane in the frame that is characteristic of the series, as well as a hinged polycarbonate protective cover. The plug socket and the cover have a special design with an interior circuit for expelling water through two outlets in the lower part, preventing it from seeping into the mechanism.
